Cornelia Dhaseleer will lead this exploratory dance workshop, and guide students to find and develop their own creative body language. Bring a favorite item (wearable or not), which will become your 'partner' in this body work. The workshop will consist of two hours of practice and training followed by a 45-minute break with a home grown veggie lunch. The remaining time will be used as time for students to share their works in progress with one another. All skill levels welcome.
In 1979, Cornelia Dhaseleer began studying post modern dance with Steve Paxton and Lisa Nelson in London. She also pursued dance movement studies at Naropa Institute in Boulder Colorado. From 1985-1986 she went to Tokyo to study Aikido at Hombu Dojo and Butoh Dance with Tanaka Min. Recently she reimmersed herself in Butoh Dance with Minako Seki.A partnership of ISLAND and Dhaseleer Events Barn. For teens & adults. $15, lunch included.
