Things that make me love Northern Michigan, part one

There are many, but here are some of the things that make me love Northern Michigan:

Earthwork Music: This is a group of talented musicians and visionary thinkers, some of whom have become our friends. It feels really good to have friends that you have an enormous amount of respect for. Brad and I are blessed to feel that way about all of our friends!

SEEDS: These folks are very good at what they do--they are a powerhouse in the community.

The Village at Grand Traverse Commons
: I'm impressed that this project was conceived, and beyond words that this can happen. This former state hospital is being transformed into a multi-use facility, including housing, offices, retailers and restaurants. We get some historical preservation and a great place to hang out; and it doesn't involve sprawl.

Short's Brewing Company: Amanda created and maintains this website, but we really believe that this is some good beer--and we love to support this local business.

Great Lakes Bioneers: The most empowering experience I've had regarding my connection with the earth and its people.

End part one. Part two will include more art- and design-related links.
